I wanted to be in touch with preview clips from this week?s episodes of "Gene Simmons Family Jewels".  This week, two new episodes will air back-to-back, airing at 9:00 and 9:30pm Sunday, 6/14 (US only).

First up is "Memphis Blues", where Nick learns the blues first hand when an innocent business trip with Dad results in him taking the stage on the spot where the legendary Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil 100 years before.  That will be followed by "Fireman Gene", where Gene visits his mom on Long Island only to learn she has volunteered to him to host a fundraiser for the local fire department&and train with them.

In the month of May of this year, Dan Bach will be celebrating 30 years of being a KISS fan, here's his experience in his own words:-

I happened to be watching the BBC’s Top of the Pops programme and up came the video for I was made for loving you, the stage show, the makeup and the parents – What the hell? sealed it for me – been a fan ever since.

People ask me constantly “Why Kiss, Why the makeup, Why this & Why that”? I’ve had to face jokes, sarcasm, comments and physical abuse over my liking of KISS. I defend them now as vigoursly as I did in the beginning. They are “my band” – the makeup, the costumes, the concert shows, the album sleeves artwork & packaging and the music all play their part in the jigsaw;  that is my fascination in this band.

I want to give a big "Thank You" to everyone at Gibson USA & Gibson Custom in Nashville for your warm hospitality during my visit today.......With all the TLC you put into every one of your guitars, it's no wonder Gibson has the reputation as the best guitar manufacturer in the world!!!......It's truly

New KISS ‘Elder’ Period Footage Surfaces

Previously unreleased “outtake” footage from KISS’s ill-fated ‘Music From The Elder’ period has surfaced on YouTube. This is the first time in nearly 13 years that any new ‘Elder’ era master tapes have been discovered.  The clip, which is dated January 5, 1982, features band members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley (along with their then manger Bill Aucoin) talking about King Kong and former KISS road manager Sean Delaney as they prepare to tape a segment for a short-lived CBS-TV series. 

Details of the French KISS Tribute Dynasty have now been added to the tributes page, many thanks to Rich Sawyer for the info.

In Rich's own words "when you consider the band speak very little English you cannot help but be amazed as they sing outstandingly close to that of KISS".

The Resurrection competition winners have now been announced, as usual there was a great response however less than 65% of the entries were correct - I didn't think I'd made it that bloody hard!!!

 

As mentioned previously the DVD features some footage of the band from the time of the reunion, such as the press conference on the Intrepid. Worth getting if you haven't already seen the press conference.
